Union Jack cushion
A project that has been sitting on my to do list for the last couple of months is this cushion cover
after sketching up a template for the flag all the pieces were cut and had bondaweb applied, then ironed on to the white cotton.
then used a zig zag stitch to neaten the edges, my red cotton nearly ran out as i was on the last red stripe but thankfully i had enough.
the finished cushion cover
side view, nice and poofed up.
even has the cat's approval, lol.

Recent goings on..
So with a holiday and lots of working i haven't blogged here in over a month :( so i have gathered some photos to show what has happened in the last 2 days:
First off some supplies arrived yesterday can you guess what i will be working on? lol
My cushion cover from my previous post has been worked on today with some hand embroidery, so far French knots and back stitch.
Also discovered that this glass paint is also used as a Faux enamel, so tried it on a bit of scrap fimo to see what it looks like.
not sure whether its the colour but it doesn't really look enamel like to me, but i think this requires some more investigation.
and finally Go Team GB!
