Skull-a-Day Creative sprint

For the last 2 weeks I have been working on a Skull-a-day project. Having slightly more success at doing this daily than my Inktober projects. If you follow my Instagram or Facebook then you will have already seen these:

So far I've only missed 4 days, I think I am having more success because I am not limited to one medium, its fun to use anything and everything I have accumulated over many years.

Scrawlrbox June 2017

Ok so I am not as far behind as I thought.

June's Scrawlrbox was Chameleon pens! When I had started my subscription with Scrawlrbox I did wonder if the Chameleon pens would make an appearance, and they did! Though it was a bit of a roller coaster with my opinion on the pens. It went from initial joy at the pens being in the box, then frustration at trying the gradients and testing them out. (They also came with new colour tops, which instead of the pen blending from clear to clear, it blends from one colour to another. Which is really cool and they are not available for sale yet). Then a bit lost as to what I could do with the prompt of 'Maximum Carnage'. In the end I went with a favourite subject of mine: Skulls!

My first attempt was a T-rex skull and I started to really enjoy using the pens. This piece even got featured in Scrawlrbox's Instagram story! I was over the moon.

I wanted to do another piece but using the red pens, so I did this one.

After making the last two drawings I wanted to increase the range of colours I had so I bought the Nudes pack and the Grey tones pack. The Grey tones being used the most in this drawing of Corvo's mask from Dishonored.

Currently there is a competition to win a set of 52 pens, Have a look here

July's Scrawlrbox arrived on Friday so I need to get started with that.
