Another dragon

A little blue and silver dragon, this time with dice in its treasure hoard. Unsure what to do with the background, should I paint it gold, or stick with the galaxy background like the red one? hmmmm
Also somehow the paper got scratched before I started painting but I wasnt about to let that put me off.

Custom Dragons

I worked on a few custom orders before Christmas (which is why all restocking of regular dragons ground to a halt)

Fimo Friday

New kid on the block: Bronze Treasure Dragon with bronze dice and a lovely bronze shimmer, kinda looks like chocolate to me....

Silver Blue is back in stock and I should really come up with names for these guys instead of calling them by their colours.

Another new Treasure dragon: Rainbow! This dragon has red, blue, green, purple and yellow shimmer over its body which is difficult to capture in the photos.

all these guys are available here

This little guy lives in my tub of coins and looks after them when I am not making, just recently he's acquired the little d6

Weekly update

First up I made some more mini dragons:

This time a blue and gold one with a matching d20

and for fun I made a mini version of my Dragonsdust Love, minus the necklace as its neck is too small for a chain to go round and the charm is too big for the model. Both these dragons are in the shop

Mays Scrawlrbox arrived! yay was a bit later then normal. Highlighters?! the prompt was workspace highlight and the print that came with it was a portrait done with neon colours so I took the portrait as inspiration and did a self portrait. This is a photo as the neon colours do not scan well. Quite pleased with the result and it came with a little sketchbook so I may do a few more drawings in.

An update

Whats been going on since I last posted in here: I got a new type of varnish for my polymer clay models, its a UV resin and it cures in a UV box:

So now that I don't have to wait a week for the varnish on my dragons to dry I can have them made and in the shop much quicker! as the box cures the resin in 10 to 15 mins!

So this little chap was the first dragon to have the new varnish:

The resin gives a very high gloss shine

I also varnished some new pumpkins with it as well and you can see the comparison here:

old varnish on the left and new on the right.

The new pumpkins are also in the shop with the Poison dragon here

I did also make another octopus but apparently I haven't photograph it yet hmmm...

I am slowly working on Inktober as well, but I'll make another post for that a bit later.

Fimo Friday

So I made these guys recently, I had planned them to be for sale however the super glue I use to glue the cork in the glass vial has gone all frosty at the top. I'm not happy to sell dragons I am not 100% proud of, and these guys were looking really good till then. So anyway they will be staying with me and going up with the rest of the Christmas decorations.

The silver one has a hook in his back for some ribbon so he can be hung on a tree.

I still have other dragons and handmade earrings in the shop! as the image above explains I have a discount code running till cyber Monday (on orders over £10)

Fimo Friday

I made myself a little Sphero BB-8 Droid necklace to wear at the Star wars Midnight showing in December. Made from super sculpey and painted with acrylics.

I was commissioned to make a dragon with the theme of Space. So I made this little guy, he came out really well, so pretty! The moon is super sculpey painted with acrylics.

And finally I made another Dragon's dust, with the theme of Halloween and Poison. He is now sold.

Moar dragons..

Busy restocking my shop with dragons at the moment, here are some of the new ones:

Dragon's Dust: Wish,
For some reason the image in this blog has come out waaaay darker then he actually is :s My Facebook page has a better image  (despite it being the same image I have just uploaded here)

Going to be in the Etsy shop shortly

Dragon's Dust: Dreams, This little girl has a vial of dreams wrapped tightly in her tail.

Will be on Etsy soon

I loved the sleeping dragon pose so much I made a D20 dragon. The D20 is removable so it can be used for games and given back to the dragon for safe keeping afterwards.

He will be in the shop once I have finished varnishing him and he's dry.

Dragonsdust Dragons

Been kind of rubbish at updating this blog recently, so here is a summary of some new things I have been working on:

Started a new series of dragons, These are Dragon's dust dragons because of the little vials of dragons dust held in their tails.

The red one is Love and she is available here
The green one is Lucky and he already has a home.

I am working on another one at the moment, just waiting for his varnish to finish drying.

I have also been working with Super
Sculpey and Acrylic Paint, making these little duck figurines. The reason I am making little duck figurines is practice for some wedding cake toppers for my best friend's wedding.
Mute Swan.

Then I redid the ducks to have a more realistic head and neck shape.
