2020 Scrawlrboxes so far

 Februarys box

March's Box

I loved April's box so much that I did multiples, including a self portait.

Then I aslo bought an old box from the shop which I think was Jan 2017, and I LOVE how my drawing came out!

ScrawlrBox January

So January's Scrawlrbox arrived a little later then usual and you'll notice that I have two of the same pens. There should be a Micron 01 pen and a Sakura pigma brush pen but both pens look the same so I understand how I ended up with a double. Anyway I messaged Scrawlrbox and the missing pen has been shipped out to me. I do like the look of this box, its nice to have markers again and a different brand, unsure on the colours and I've seen on Instagram that there is another set of colours that some people have received: dusty pink, burnt sienna and cinnamon. The prompt is 'growing up' and I have an idea for the prompt but also an idea based on the colours too.

Copic Ciao

I don't know if anyone remembers my personal project that I started working on this time last year? Here is the blog post

Anyway I think I got sidetracked with skull-a-day, scrawlrbox and stock for the shop. I got these Copic Ciao pens for Christmas and was itching to use them so I attempted to draw my Macaw with them. I like the feathers on the wing but I don't think I did a good job on the rest lol.

I had fun using them and I like the result.

Scrawlrbox August

I really loved how technical Augusts box was:
A new mechanical pencil! and it came with refills Yay! This pencil has a good weight to it and its made its way into my pencil case along with the Fiesta mechanical pencil from February's box.
Likey to use again? Yes

Another Derwent product, this is a good little rubber, one of two shapes we could have received. Fits nicely in my hands and it rubs out pretty well.
Likey to use again? Yes

More Alcohol markers, this time by Spectrum noir. Not heard of these before but they work pretty well from a novice marker point of view. Looking through Instagram it looks like there was another colour combination that other people received, a pink and a teal colour.
Likey to use again? Maybe, I might have to get some other colours to go with them though.

I already have one of these, but it was nice to have a pen to go with the mechanical pencil.
Likey to use again? Yes

This was cool, I don't do straight lines, perspective or any thing isometric so this tool was great fun to use.
Likey to use again? I think so

This is my drawing for the challenge, Imagination palace. Loads of other people drew palaces or castles so I decided to be different and draw a room from my imagination palace. Also inspired by Baldur's Gate which is an Isometric top down RPG game which I am currently playing at the moment. However after photographing it I have realised that I haven't done any shading in it :( poop.

April's ScrawlrBox

April's Scrawlrbox!, I'm always super happy when I hear the box drop through the mail box. I was excited to try markers, but it was challenging to use just one colour and shades of grey. The prompt was stranger worlds, and I was kind of a bit lost as to what to do so I settled on an old favourite of mine; skulls.

I am pleased with the outcome, I could have left it as the skull but I wanted to incorporate the colour, so settled on stripes in the background.
